Open Question: Do I have to pay back a Cal Grant B award?
I just recieved an award letter in the mail and I qualified to recieve a $7,000 Cal Grant B award for transferring from a Junior College to a 4-year Uni. this year.
-I’ve never recieved a grant before, is this money that I have to pay back?
-If I accept it, can I save it to use next school year? I took out a student loan for this year, and I won’t be eligable for this “transfer student award” next year since I won’t be transferring again, is it a smart move to accept this, save it, and not take out another loan next year?
-My school hasn’t awarded our financial aid yet, (awarded sept. 16 h) so if I accept it, is it still early enough to recieve it?
