My daughter and I used the FASFA application and were told that we did not qualify for the PELL grant, They have my expected family contribution at $7800, I only make $26000 per year. I am a single mom of 2. I only get child support for the younger child. Two questions
1. Any advice from anyone?
2. How do they come up with the expected family contribution?
My mother, a sister and a brother applied for settlement visa. My mother has been granted Indefinite Leave to Enter UK, while my bother & sister has bee been denied . The reasons they gave were:
They live with other elder brother and sister there fore they are not directly dependent on our father. (this is false reasoning)
Embassy think my brother and sister might have worked to support themselves while they attended their college again making them not directly dependent on our father (this is also a false reasoning)
